Partnerships in Cultural Heritage
In the year 2000 the KIT Tropenmuseum was able to strengthen its participation in international projects. Partnerships in Cultural Heritage describes how the museum used this opportunity, and the dilemmas it subsequently encountered in its contacts with partner museums in the South. The museum, originally established to display art, culture and products from the Dutch colonies, shifted its focus some three decades ago to include issues of socio-economic development in what was then called the Third World.
